"My interest to paint highly expressive and interpretive subject matter encompasses everything from side porches, historic barns, wolves, seascapes, French gardens, the rugged Tetons and Italian villas. I love to share my expressions with my viewers and hopefully my brushstrokes can capture a feeling which relates something familiar in their lives, past or present. Plein air is one of my favorite ways to paint and I love using glazes with oil or acrylic. Traveling provides me with an immense collection of photographs which I use for inspiration for many of my original paintings. I continue to explore varied art effects and techniques to allow those things I admire to speak to me and others."
